Litchville-Marion Dollars for Scholars

The charter date for the Litchville-Marion Dollars for Scholars chapter was March 8, 2002. Board members at that time were Chuck Hartman, Kerry Ketterling, Linda Latt, Chad Lommen, Gene Rode, and Lauri Skoge-Bruse.  The Litchville-Marion Dollars for Scholars board meets three to four times each year. They have given scholarships to every LMHS senior class since the class of 2002. Dollars for Scholars information is in a trophy case by the gym at the high school in Marion, N.D. It contains an awards plaque that lists all the student recipient names and an endowment fund plaque with sponsor names-both individual and business.

The purpose of the Litchville-Marion Chapter is to promote the Dollars for Scholars program, developing an operational structure, raising funds for student aid distribution, and distributing awards on a fair and nondiscriminatory basis.

The Litchville-Marion Dollars for Scholars Chapter provides scholarships for students in the Litchville-Marion School District. Litchville and Marion School Districts entered a trial merger in 1993-94 school year and became consolidated into School District 46 in 2002.
